Description: This happened on a Horizon Air flight from Portland to Redmond, Oregon. Portland was experiencing unusually low temperatures with freezing precipitation the entire day causing hundreds of delayed and canceled flights. The staff worked hard to try and get this flight to operate to Redmond after already having to cancel 2 flights earlier in the day. We boarded the flight, de-iced and were ready for pushback when a passenger vomited in the lavatory. The other passengers in his group became verbally abusive towards the crew and blamed them for the weather delay and their buddy ruining the lavatory. The Captain and the other crew and staff handled the situation very professionally and with a calm demeanor. These fools deserved to be thrown off of the flight and banned from the airline in my opinion but they were not. Unfortunately, because of their buddies vomit episode, the Type IV deicing liquid expired and we were not able to get another deicing session before the crew ran out of duty hours trying to get us to Redmond. Much respect for Horizon Air for rebooking us all and working overtime to make the necessary accommodations. The weather was not the fault of Horizon Air and I thank them for their great customer service rectifying the issue.
